The light of Messiah

When Yahweh created the earth, He gave us two lights: one for the day and one for the night.

Genesis 1:16  And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Making two lights: the greater one and a smaller one that is a reflector of the greater light.  This is pointing to Messiah and how we are reflectors of His light!

One of the prophecies of Yeshua in the Psalms is overlooked by many. 

Psalms 119:105  NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Yeshua is this light.  He is also called 'The Word'.  This verse says Yeshua is the one to guide you!  Not the new age that claims we have the light force within - but Yeshua through His Holy Spirit!.  It states we have the TRUE light - the Holy Spirit which fills us when we accept Yeshua as our Messiah (which clearly means to obey and follow Him)

John 1
1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2  The same was in the beginning with God.
3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

We are to be filled with the Holy Spirit and let His light shine from us to be a witness to the world.

Matthew 5
14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

So like the moon reflects the sun given as an example to us, we are to reflect the light of Messiah that lives within us!
