Do you reflect Messiah's light or are you in the dark?

Many people claim to be Christians because they "said a prayer once" or "my family is Christian so I am to", etc.  yet these people have no clue what the bible says.  They may listen to pastors make up bible stories and twist scriptures although they do not really know what it says or what accepting Messiah Yeshua as LORD and Savior means according to the bible.  Many of these people claim the name of Jesus yet their lives are dark without any evidence that Yeshua is their Messiah.

When one truly follows Yeshua, they reflect His light (I've shown this in a previous post) and their lives reflect His nature.  Yeshua's sheep know His voice and follow Him and He does not lead them into involvement in sinful lifestyles.  Too many people claim to belong to Yeshua yet they are involved in pornography (even child pornography), sexual immorality (both heterosexual and homosexual), they lie and slander others, they are filled with all sorts of evilness.  They are NOT believers - they are deceivers.

We are to judge those that claim to be believers and expel those who are involved in sinful lifestyles.  We are to do this by judging their fruit in righteous judgment - based on facts not on lies told by seducing spirits to discredit them.

1 Corinthians 5
9  I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
10  Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
11  But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12  For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13  But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Matthew 7
18  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

John 7:24  Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

There are so many that claim to belong to Messiah yet they are NOT His - they have deceived themselves into following a false "Jesus" of their own making or one that their teachers claim is the real Jesus that is not the REAL one that is revealed in the bible.

If you claim to belong to Messiah Yeshua yet are involved in immorality, are deceitful, a liar, a slanderer and are unrepentant and not reflecting Yeshua's light and following Him and His commandments, you are deceived and need to repent and turn to Yeshua and follow Him by obeying what Yahweh said to do.   If you are doing what is not right and refuse to repent, you are in danger of hell fire.  Those who refuse to forgive are in danger of hell fire.  Messiah said those who do not forgive will NOT be forgiven by Yahweh.  If you have unforgiveness in your heart, you need to repent and make it right.

Matthew 5
22  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23  Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24  Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Luke 17
3  Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4  And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

1 John 3:4  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Matthew 7
21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
G458

Strong's number G458 iniquity (transliterated as anomia)   :
anomia
1) the condition of without law
     a) because ignorant of it
     b) because of violating it
2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness
John14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

John15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

1 John 2
3  And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 5
2  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Revelation 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

.

Make sure you are truly following the REAL Messiah - Yeshua / Jesus - that is revealed in the bible and not one that is being taught about by false teachers / deceivers.  You can ONLY make sure you have the "Real Jesus" by studying the bible FOR YOURSELF and asking Yahweh to show you His truth.  Too many "pastors" twist scripture to suit their own man made doctrines and are sedcuing you into following a false Jesus.

The "seed of the woman" and other parroted teachings

It amazes me how many times I hear the same "bible" teaching over and over again that is not what the bible says about it.  One popular "teacher" comes up with something new that sounds good and instead of checking it out with the bible, it is parroted over and over again sometimes for decades before it is pointed out to be wrong.

One of the common teachings from the 1970's by Hal Lindsey was that the "biblical generation was 40 years because that is how long they wandered in the wilderness".  Any basic reading of the bible would show that this is false because Ancient Israel wandered in the wilderness for forty years so those over age 20 would die off.  The generation was also affected by the times Yahweh became angry with them and nearly wiped all of them out.

Another incorrect teaching that is commonly parroted by those that should know better was that Lot was a compromiser and that is why he chose to live in sodom.  Lot of course sinned, as every person does, but the bible never mentioned any of his sins and Yahweh called him righteous.  I pointed out in a previous post (Post: Righteous Lot)

There is another teaching that is often parroted that is making the rounds again.  That teaching is that this verse is speaking of Yeshua's virgin birth because "women do not have seed" :

Genesis 3:15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seedH2233  and her seedH2233 ; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

While Yeshua's virgin birth is real and is a fact and there are numerous prophecies in the Old Testament that prophecy of it, Genesis 3:15 is NOT a prophecy about it!

While this verse is a prophecy about Yeshua, it says nothing of His virgin birth.  The erroneous teaching that claims it does says "women do not have seed therefore this is a prophecy about Yeshua's virgin birth".   Yet when Seth was born, Eve used the same word for his birth:

Genesis 4:25  And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seedH2233 instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

Strongs H2233
  1.         seed, sowing, offspring
  2.         a sowing
  3.         seed
  4.         semen virile
  5.         offspring, descendants, posterity, children
  6.         of moral quality
  7.         a practitioner of righteousness (fig.)
  8.         sowing time (by meton)
Some try and make a case that the term "the seed of a woman" is only about Yeshua and a prophecy about a virgin birth when it is NOT as shown when Eve used the same word for Seth.  The same word, seed, is also used by the angel to Hagar about Ishmael so obviously seed is being used to mean posterity and has nothing to do with the virgin birth of Yeshua

Genesis 16
9  And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.
10  And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seedH2233 exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
11  And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.

While Yeshua's virgin birth is real and is a fact and there are numerous prophecies in the Old Testament that prophecy of it, Genesis 3:15 is NOT a prophecy about it!

When we hear a teaching, we are to be like the Bereans and take that teaching and compare it with scripture to see if it is true or not.  We are to not take ANY teaching from ANY person at face value.

Acts 17
10  And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12  Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

Righteous Lot

I get irritated when I listen to "pastors" teaching on something and they twist scripture to make their point.  They don't just interpret it different, they twist it to say something totally opposite of what scripture says.  This includes nationally (and internationally) known so-called "pastors".  What irritates me just as much is that few say anything about their scripture twisting and it is never corrected so people accept what they said as truth - cunningly devised fables.  This is why it is extremely important to read and study the bible for yourself and not rely on the teachings of ANYONE.

One favorite twisting of scripture by these popular "pastors" is using righteous Lot as an example of someone who fell into sin.  They take scripture and add so much to it to make Lot out to be a major sinner.  In today's show (jan 14, 2016) by Michael Youssef Defeating the Enemies of Success Part 3,  Youssef, like so many other "pastors", totally maligns Lot and twists scripture to make Lot out to be an evil person - something the bible clearly does not say.

Lot was a righteous person and was living where Yahweh led him.  He chose the lands of the plain because Yahweh wanted Abraham in Canaan.  Many "pastors" claim Lot was evil because he chose the lush plain of the Jordan Valley.  Abraham gave him a choice and there was never a mention in the bible that Lot was greedy in his choice of the land for his family.  Abraham gave him a choice and there is no indication in scripture that Abraham wanted to dwell in the plains of the Jordan.  There is no indication they even knew how evil sodom had become.  In fact, scripture indicates all of the area of Canaan, the plains of the Jordan, and Egypt were well watered and like the Garden of Eden.

Choosing one over the other is not even implied to be wicked and evil.  Lot in choosing sodom over dwelling among the Canaanites was not putting his family in any more danger than choosing Canaan would have as Youssef claims.  Yahweh intended on giving all of Canaan to Abraham as scripture clearly shows.  Also, since on two occasions Abraham was willing to give his wife Sarah to kings to save his life because Sarah was so beautiful, keeping Abraham out of Sodom may have been to protect Sarah.

Genesis 13
5  And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
6  And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
7  And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
8  And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
9  Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
10  And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
11  Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.
12  Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
13  But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
14  And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15  For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16  And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
17  Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
18  Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.

Many "teachers", including Youssef, claim that Lot became as wicked as sodom and have even implied Lot was involved in the same sins as sodom because he became one of the leaders.  Sitting in the gate of a city means that he was one of the leaders / elders of the city:

Genesis 19:1  And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

Yet these same "teachers" that claim Lot was wicked and capitulated with the evil are the same "teachers" that support Christian politicians running for office, and are the same "teachers" who live in the cities that are just as bad as sodom was.  Just because someone lives in a city that is evil does not necessarily mean they are evil.  Yahweh has His people in every city being the salt and light for that city.  These teachers are condemning believers that live in ungodly cities - in other words, EVERYONE!

Some false teachers malign Lot because he was willing to give his daughters over to the men of sodom in order to protect the two angels.  As I have shown in previous posts, the bible has at least three times shown that the house guests will be protected at all cost (one was in Gibeah and this one with Lot, and the blessing of Noah that the house of Japeth will dwell in the safety of the tents of Shem) Yet many erroneous teachings claim Lot was unrighteous because of his daughters:

Genesis 9:27  God enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and let Canaan be their servant.

Judges 19
22  Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.
23  And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.
24  Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

Genesis 19
5  They called Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to stay with you tonight? Bring them out to us! We want to have sex with them!"
6  Lot went out to them and stood in the doorway, closing the door behind him,
7  and said, "Please, my brothers, don't do such a wicked thing.
8  Look here, I have two daughters who are virgins. Please, let me bring them out to you, and you can do with them what seems good to you; but don't do anything to these men, since they are guests in my house."
9  "Stand back!" they replied. "This guy came to live here, and now he's decided to play judge. For that we'll deal worse with you than with them!" Then they crowded in on Lot, in order to get close enough to break down the door.

Another reason so many "teachers" malign Lot is because he is a victim of "date rape" by his daughters after they left sodom.  I thought people have learned to not blame the victim for rape yet apparently Lot is the exception by false teachers.  What Lot's daughters did was wrong although they thought they were the only survivors in the world.  Lot certainly was not to blame for what his daughters did - he was not willing otherwise his daughters would not have gotten him drunk.  The bible is clear he did not know what they had done (in contrast to Noah knowing what his son Ham had done to him when he was drunk)

Genesis 19
31  And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
32  Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
33  And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
34  And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
35  And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
36  Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.
37  And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.

Scripture is clear that Lot was righteous and Yahweh rescued him because he was righteous.  Abraham bargained with Yahweh to save sodom, because Lot lived there, if there were ten righteous and  Abraham was happy with his bargain since he obviously thought there had to have been ten righteous in the city.  Even though there were not ten righteous in sodom, Yahweh did rescue Lot and his family.

Genesis 18
22  And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
23  And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
24  Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?
25  That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
26  And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.
27  And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:
28  Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.
29  And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.
30  And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.
31  And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.
32  And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
33  And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

Finally, the new testament clearly shows that Lot was not happy with what his city was doing and he was righteous and godly.  No where in scripture does it say anything about Lot's sins or give any indication he compromised with the world.  The false teachers that add or subtract from scripture making it say what it clearly does not say will be judged by Yahweh.

2 Peter 2
7  And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8  (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9  The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Proverbs 30
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

2 Timothy 4
3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Shem, Noah, Abraham, and Job

In yesterday's post, I showed how Canaan (Ham's son) was cursed because of what Ham (and Canaan?) had done to Noah and how Ham's descendants included sodom and gomorah.  Today's topic will be Shem and how he is related to both Abraham and likely to Job.

Genesis 9
20  And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
21  And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22  And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23  And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
24  And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25  And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26  And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

After the above incident, Ham's son Canaan (why not Ham and why not his other sons?) was cursed and Shem was blessed.

Shem's line:

Genesis 10
21  Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
22  The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23  And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24  And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
25  And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
26  And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
27  And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28  And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
29  And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.
30  And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.
31  These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.

Condensed, here is the line from Shem to Abraham (see Genesis 11 as well) :

Shem-> Arpachshad ->  Shelah ->    Eber  ->  Peleg ->   Reu ->  Serug ->   Nahor ->  Terah ->  Abram

More on the ages and ancestry is in Genesis 11

Genesis 11
10  These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:
11  And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
12  And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:
13  And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
14  And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:
15  And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
16  And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:
17  And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.
18  And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:
19  And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.
20  And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:
21  And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.
22  And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:
23  And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
24  And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:
25  And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.
26  And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

Abraham (and therefore King David and Messiah Yeshua) were descended through Shem's son Arphaxad.  Noah lived for 58 years after Abraham was born and Shem outlived Abraham by 35 years and was alive for the first 110 years of Isaac's life.  If you read commentaries such as the book of Jasher, Abraham studied with Noah and both Abraham and Isaac studied with Shem.  Since Noah and Shem were direct ancestors of Shem (and therefor Noah), this could likely be assumed even without the commentaries.  Someone had to teach Job and Abraham about Yahweh and how and what to sacrifice (read further)

Adam was the first man, then his son Seth, and then Enosh.  Enosh lived for 84 years after Noah was born and was alive for 695 years of Adam's life.  So one can see that information about the Garden of Eden could have been given from Adam to Enosh, to Noah, and to Abraham and what it was like before the flood could have been given directly from Noah and Shem to Abraham.

The stories from mythology likely originated from what was taught by Noah and his sons - and, if you believe the nephilim were the offspring of fallen angels and women and that genetic manipulation was going on before the flood, likely the stories were true - the fallen angels and hybrids were worshiped as "gods" and is what brought the judgment of the flood.  Many who rebelled against Yahweh after the flood turned to idol worship due to what they learned about the false "gods" that existed before the flood and is why there was idol worship after the flood Even Abraham's family had idols:

Joshua 24:2  And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.

Now as for Job who most commentaries believe lived at the time after the flood and before Ancient Israel was in Egypt:

Shem's son Aram had a son named Uz.  Job lived in Uz so very likely Job was a descendant of Shem through  Job may have very well been alive at the time of Abraham.

Genesis 10
22  The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23  And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.

Job 1:1  There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

What is most interesting is that Noah knew what animals were clean and unclean to bring on the ark and offered sacrifices of the clean animals to Yahweh after the flood:

Genesis 8:20  And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

Job also offered sacrifices :

Job 1:5  And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

So obviously clean and unclean was before the law was given to Moses centuries later.  The need to sacrifice was also known before the Exodus.   Moses also told pharaoh Ancient Israel wanted to go to the wilderness to sacrifice to Yahweh BEFORE he was given the law on Mt. Sinai. So what is with "the law is for the Jews" when Noah and Job were not Jews? (they were pre-Jews) --- the law was given before the flood and known after the flood.

Benjamites of Gibeah, King Saul, and Judah

Not sure if there is any meaning to this connection although I find it very interesting.

I won't post the entire three chapters here.  You can read them at Blue Letter Bible  if you don't have a bible or have it with you.

In Judges 19-21, a Levite traveling with his concubine stopped in Gibeah, a city of the Tribe of Benjamin, for the night.  It was a dangerous place and a Gibeahnite invited them into his home for the night.  Some men of belial (ba-al) came and wanted him to send the man out so they could rape him (sounds a lot like what happened to sodom and gomorah with the angels) and the man refused and gave his daughter and the Levite's concubine to them to do with them what they wanted.  They abused and raped the Levite's concubine and she ended up dying.

Under Yahweh's instruction and with a sorrowful heart, the children of Israel came to fight the Gibeahnites.  The rest of the Tribe of Benjamin came to the aid of the Benjaminites in Gibeah.  All the women were killed and nearly all of the tribe of Benjamin were wiped out.  They found women from another tribe for the surviving Benjaminites to marry so the tribe would not be wiped out.  Yahweh allowed the near destruction of the Tribe of Benjamin due to sodomy.

Later Israel demanded a king even though they had Yahweh as their king.  Yahweh gave them King Saul which was from the Tribe of Benjamin even though in Genesis 49:8-10, Judah was to reign until the Messiah came.  It is obvious Saul was a placeholder by Yahweh until King David was old enough to become king because of the insistence for a king by Israel.

The most interesting part is that King Saul was from Gibeah.  I'm quite sure that what happened in Judges 19-21 with the Tribe of Benjamin almost being wiped out and Saul, a Benjaminite, from Gibeah becoming king are related although Yahweh has not shown me any more on this yet.  Gibeah (and the entire Tribe of Benajmin nearly being wiped out because of what happened in Gibeah) almost being wiped out. Saul, from the Tribe of Benjamin, being named king even though Judah was to rule, and Saul being from Gibeah is very interesting puzzle to figure out. (FYI:  King David was from Judah)

Genesis 49
8  Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
9  Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10  The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Geocentricity versus Heliocentricity and the Bible

1)  In the bible, the SUN stood still and did not go down for an entire day.
2)  the earth cannot stop spinning suddenly.  According to mainstream science, the earth spinning is what causes gravity and if it were rotating 1,000MPH as mainstream science teaches, a sudden stopping would cause whatever is on the earth to be thrown around and would cause tsunamis that would destroy the entire earth

How can this be explained in a heliocentric spherical view that we are taught (heliocentric means earth revolves around the sun)  Could it be we have been taught incorrectly and a geocentricity is true (IE: sun revolves around the still earth)

Thoughts?

Joshua 10:13  And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

Isaiah 38
7  And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;
8  Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

Amos 8:9  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

Habakkuk 3:11  The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.

Gemstones in the Bible

Just something interesting Yahweh showed me.  First - satan was in the garden of Eden before he fell and had all his gemstone covering- could it be the iniquity that was found in him was when he tempted Eve?  Strong implication that this is so!

The jewels in the High Priest's breastplate and the ones  covering satan.   Not a perfect match although it is more than a coincidence.  Interesting that the High Priest's breastplate and the New Jerusalem walls (in the book of Revelation) have 12 gemstones mentioned but satan has only ten mentioned although the verse says 'EVERY precious stone was thy covering' .

Not sure what all this means although I know there is something more Yahweh has not shown me yet.  There is another teaching from reading these passages although is not related to the gemstones and I'll post about it later.

Description of the High Priest's Breastplate (commanded by Yahweh)

Exodus 28
17  And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.
18  And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
19  And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.
20  And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

Description of satan when he was in the Garden of Eden before he fell:

Ezekiel 28
13  thou wast in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the carnelian, the topaz, and the emerald, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the carbuncle, and the smaragd, and gold; the workmanship of thy settings and of thy sockets was in thee, in the day that thou wast created they were prepared.
14  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Description of the gemstones making up the walls of the New Jerusalem in the book of Revelation:

Revelation 21
18  And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19  And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20  The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

First post!

 תכלת תכלת

Looks like facebook does not want anti-muslim comments and has told me that I have to upload my identification because my name is "not a real name" in spite of my sending them a copy of  my drivers license.  I was getting tired of facebook and all the shallowness and stupidity anyway so this is going to be beneficial to my spiritual well being.  I'm hoping most of my real facebook friends will find me here and will post here.  I may also have my tinychat open at times for fellowship although once next semester starts I may have limited time (yes, I'm back in school)

I will be posting some of the things Yahweh has shown me while reading scripture, talk about what is going on in the church today, bible prophecy, some of my hobbies, and possibly share some of my computer programs that I write  (I'm in school for computer programming)

Please watch this video.  David Wilkerson tells about the jezebel spirit and the apostasy that has become so widespread throughout the church today.  I'll discuss more about this later.
