Sheep and Goats

Yeshua gives us a clue to understand why some believe that they are hearing from God but in reality are listening to satan.

The people that Yeshua is speaking of is the body of Messiah - those who truly belong to Him:

John 10
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

 John14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

John15:10  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

1 John 5
2  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

There are those who truly belong to Yeshua and then there are those who claim to be His but are not His.  

Matthew 25
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Goats have their own agenda

Sheep follow the Shepherd

 Sheep and goats are both acceptable for the Passover sacrifice  Exodus 12:5  Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:    both are clean animals and both claim to belong to Yeshua. The difference  is that the sheep will follow the Shepherd and obey His voice. The goats have their own agenda; the goats follow their own plan such as promoting themselves and their doctrines as the real truth.  The goats are deceived by the enemy and they even deceive themselves into believing it is from Yahweh.

2 Corinthians 11
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Timothy 3:13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

The hireling shepherd can sound just like the Good Shepherd . Many well intending people have been deceived because they believe their plans are the plans of Yahweh when they listen to the voice of a false shepherd instead of Yeshua.

The false prophets claim that because of what they said came to pass that "it is from Yahweh" and since most people are biblically illiterate, they believe that statement to be true - contrary to what Yahweh says:

Deuteronomy 13
1  If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2  And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3  Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4  Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

The only way to make sure you are not deceived is by reading the bible and listening to what Yahweh says.  Anything that contradicts His word is false.

Acts 17
10  And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

2 Timothy 3:14  But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

Clearly we are in perilous times and it is more important than ever to read the bible and see what Yahweh says, believe it, and follow Yeshua as Messiah (Lord and Savior).  Any teachings that seem to be contrary with Torah or what Yeshua says is either a false teaching or has been misinterpreted.  Do not go with the crowds - they are lying to you and seducing you to follow them down the broad road to hell.

Matthew 7
13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.


Yahweh's judgment will start with those who claim to be His.  He will "clean house" of the false teachers.

1 Peter 4
17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Now is the time to REPENT (turn away from sin which is defined as violating Torah) and follow Messiah Yeshua in Spirit and in Truth.
1 John 3:4  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

John 4
23  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Revelation 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
